Le 6 á Table is the most upmarket restaurant in the pretty village of Caromb in Vaucluse. It is easy to find because it is in the main square right where all the cars visiting the village park and also right opposite the large central church building. The restaurant experience here is very good. The chef, Pascal Poulain, is not hidebound by tradition, the front-of-house staff (including his wife Claire) are very professional and the wine list roams the Rhone and beyond.
The produce is carefully sourced. Depending on the season we have had beautifully fresh asparagus from Malemort-du-Comtat which is 10 minutes away by car. The cheese is sourced from affineur Vigier which is five minutes down the road in Carpentras and the goat cheese is from Leroy Berger who is a few minutes in the other direction near the perched village of Le Barroux.
The food is very fresh, very well cooked and the space is very inviting. In summer there is a small, but pleasant, terrace out the front where you can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
