Clifton Farm is an organic, spray and chemical free producer of cherries in Tasmania's beautiful Huon Valley. You can find them, in season, at the Kingston Produce Market.
But it is not only cherries that they produce. We have tried some of their organic pink eye potatoes which had a nice density gained by not over-watering the potatoes unlike so many of the other potato producers in Tasmania.
We also tried their beautiful grass-fed lamb at the Lubiana Osteria recently. The lamb was meltingly tender and full of flavour.
They also make an apple cider that we are yet to try, but we will be very interested in what they are doing with this product. The reason is that the owners, David and Melissa have planted traditional English and French cider apple varieties which are essential for getting the depth of flavour into the cider.
You can also find them at the Geeveston Farmers Market.
