Lache Pas la Grappe is a very popular natural wine bar and cave a manger in the tourist city of Carcassonne. The selection of natural wines is excellent with a good offering of the amazing wines from Eric Pfifferling as well as many wines that are local to the area around the city such as the Carignan from Plo Roucarels on the Carcassonne side of the city.
When you walk in you might find it hard to score a place at the compact bar, especially if there is a rugby match on the TV at the end of the bar.
However, persevere and you will be rewarded with wines from producers such as Barral, Duchene, Castex and many more. Feel free to peruse the shelves that line the right-hand side of the space and take a bottle to the bar to be opened. You can also buy bottles to take away if you prefer.
