Sliced ox tongue
We ordered two entrees. The first was thinly sliced Ox tongue enhanced with balsamic vinegar and lovely, tiny pink peppercorns, which were like a tardis to another era but deeply satisfying in this dish.
The other was an octopus terrine which was light, delicate and very, very flavoursome with dollops of amazing Vin Santo jelly, potato and tiny pieces of celery that added crunch. This was such a satisfying dish.
Risotto with stinging nettles and saltbush
But the best was yet to come. A dish of Riso Vialone Nano enhanced with stinging nettles and saltbush was one of the most amazing risotto dishes we have ever eaten - and we have had many! The pale green colour was alluring and the flavour was deep. A great dish!
Pappardelle with rabbit
Then there was pappardelle with rabbit, marjoram and hazelnut which was another amazing dish.
We will definitely be back for more of this wonderful food.
