The Cape Grim Beef Company is a producer of fine natural, hormone free, grass fed, Angus and Hereford beef in the pristine far north west corner of Tasmania. The Cape Grim Beef Company sells and markets premium beef on behalf of around 40 local farmers who raise their cattle to meet the high standards set by the company. This is 'real' beef because the cattle graze on grass - they are not fed grain as is the case with much of the beef raised for human consumption in Australia and the United States. The beef is also hormone free and GMO free as required by Tasmanian law. This sets this beef apart from many of the other products that are available. You can find their meat at retail outlets such as Hudsons Meats in Surry Hillls and Cammaray in NSW, the amazing Victor Churchill in Woollahra, Peter Bouchier's outlets in David Jones in Victoria, The Meat Safe in Subiaco, Prime Specialty Meats in Fortitude Valley in Queensland, Bayside Meats in Hobart and Landfall Farm Fresh in Launceston.Restaurants using Cape Grim Beef include Stuart Knox's comforting Fix St James, Longrain, Bistrode and Tabou Restaurant in New South Wales, Grossi Florentino, Neil Perry's Rockpool Bar and Grill, Bacash and Guiseppe Arnaldo and Sons in Victoria the delightful Chado in Hobart, the Black Cow Bistro in Launceston and the up-market Saffire in Coles Bay.
