Berta is a new venture from the crew at Vini, that tiny eating and drinking space in Surry Hills. The food is exceptional, the Italian-inspired wine list interesting, the space is impressive and the service friendly and snappy. The food is chalked daily on a large, easy-to-read blackboard (as are the wine specials) and is designed for sharing. We enjoyed a stunning risotto, excellent polenta, a great roasted sea bass along with many other dishes. All were excellent as were the wine recommendations suggested by a very knowledgeable sommelier.
