The Domaine Nicolas Carmarans Mauvais Temps is a particular favourite. This light, but complex red wine from the Aveyron in central France is lively, exciting, delicious and leaves you wanting more!
According to Les Caves de Pyrene in London the wine comprises four grape varieties, namely Negret de Banhars, Fer Servadou (known locallly as Mansois), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine is made by Nicolas Carmarans who for many years ran the delightful wine bar in Paris called Nouvelle Mairie.
He also produces a white wine made purely from Chenin Blanc and another red wine called l'Autre made from Fer Servadou (Mansois) which also expresses the Aveyron perfectly.
