Serre & Pedretti is a lovely store in Vaison-la-Romaine serving very fresh pasta and pasta dishes to take away and cook at home. The quality of the pasta is excellent.
When you look in the window you will see the freshly made pasta on display. However this is not for sale. This is just so that you can see the different sizes and shapes of pasta on offer. The width of the pasta ranges from 1 to 5 so you simply nominate the width you would like. When you ask for what you want the proprietor immediately puts some pre-made dough through his impressive machine and your pasta is made!
There is also a good range of dried, commercial pasta types available on the shelves and fresh tortelli and similar stuffed shapes made with either mushrooms, ricotta, meat, goat cheese or spinach.
While you are there also check out the range of charcuterie. They have an excellent pancetta which, when sliced thinly can either be eaten as it is or briefly fried to render the fat to add to a pasta sauce.
For English-speaking visitors, the proprietor also speaks very good English.

The shop front of Serre & Pedretti. You can just see a blackboard on the left which is outside the neighbour called Le Bonheur Poursuit Son Cours which is a pleasant cafe and natural wine store so that you can buy an interesting bottle of wine to go with your pasta.
