My Life in France by Julia Child is a full, frank, witty and engaging account of the life of the author of the best-selling cookbook 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' and the long-running television show 'The French Chef'.
Follow the life of the ever-exuberant bon-vivant from the time she arrived in France after the second world war. At this time she knew little about cooking and even less about French food and culture. However, she enrolled in a Cordon Bleu cooking course and the rest, as they say, is history. She went on to be one of the world's most popular cook book authors and television presenters (a medium she first shunned).
This long book written in conjunction with Alex Prud'Homme is a fascinating read!
