Vin de Pays de l'Allier is one of the thirteen departmental Vin de Pays wine appellations in the Loire Valley. The Allier département sits below Nievre in the eastern reaches of the Loire.
The wines produced here are often a blend of Loire and Burgundy grape varieties with Gamay growing alongside Pinot noir and Chardonnay sharing space with Sauvignon blanc.
