Brennan's is a compulsory stop for breakfast in New Orleans. This splendid looking restaurant with the seating areas arranged around a beautiful courtyard full of magnolia trees is definitely a great place to be. It serves its 'famous' dishes such as eggs sardou, eggs Hussarde or bananas Foster (a dish of bananas cooked in lots and lots of sugar). The food is reasonable but we just can't get excited about it.
The waiting staff are very attentive to tourists and play all the tricks necessary to get a good tip or upsell some of the many products such as the cookbooks.
So, go for the experience but don't expect amazingly good food.
They do have an amazingly good wine cellar, however.
