Chateau Pimpine Cotes de Francs
Wine
Country: France

Chateau Pimpine Cotes de Francs is an austere wine of considerable finesse made from predominantly Merlot rounded out with some Cabernet Sauvignon. It is also an unusual wine in that it is produced from an organic vineyard - something that is quite rare in the Bordeaux region. Also rare for the Bordeaux region is the fact that it is reasonably priced.
The Cotes de Franc appellation lies to the north east of St Emilion and is mainly known for its red wines grown on some of the highest vineyards in the Bordeaux region.
