Verdicchio di Matelica is a DOC wine appellation in the western part of the Marche region of Italy in the province of Macerata where the vines are grown on the slopes of the Apennines. The white wine made here is based on the Verdicchio grape.
There is also a Riserva permitted which requires aging for at least two years with 4 months in the bottle.
There is also a Spumante and a Passito permitted in the appellation.
