Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi is a DOC wine appellation in the central part of the Marche region of Italy in the province of Ancona. The fabulous white wine made here is based on the Verdicchio grape. This is widely regarded as the finest wine in the Marche region.
The wine must comprise at least 80% Verdicchio with the remainder being Trebbiano or Malvasia.
A small production area based on the town of Jesi can add Classico to the label. There is also a Spumante and a Passito permitted in the appellation.
