Pergola is a wine appellation in the Marche region of Italy based on the grape known as Vernaccia di Pergola which is thought to be related to Aleatico. The appellation has only recently gained its DOC status in 2005.
The appellation is based around the town of the same name and the wine must include at least 70% of the Vernaccia di Pergola.
