The Domaine Henri Pelle Morogues Menetou-Salon is a fine example of a white wine from the Menetou-Salon appellation in the Upper Loire Valley. The winemaker is leading the charge in Menetou-Salon to bring winemaking standards and production methods up to a standard that will allow it to compete with its better known neighbour Sancerre. Their attention to detail is even reflected in the elegant label on the bottle.
Based on the Sauvignon Blanc grape it exhibits a nice acidity and long, lingering finish although we find that it is slightly too sweet for our palates.
