Touraine Amboise is a wine appellation within the Touraine region in the Loire Valley of France lying between the city of Tours and the city of Blois. It is well known for the crisp white wines produced from Chenin Blanc but there are also red wines produced from Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec and some interesting rose wines as well from the same red grapes.
The appellation is situated upstream from the city of Tours and covers nine communes on both side of the Loire River. It is contained within the larger Touraine appellation.
