Moselle is an emerging VDQS wine appellation in the Lorraine region of north east France. It is quite tiny at only 35 hectares and a little over 20 producers, but some good wines are now available from here.
The grape varieties permitted here are Auxerrois, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris, Riesling, Muller-thurgau, Gewurztraminer, Pinot noir, Pinot meunier and Gamay.
