Cremant de Bourgogne wine appellation in the Burgundy region of France covering the lovely sparkling wines produced in the area. The term Cremant is used for any dry sparkling wine produced outside the Champagne production area.
The wines used to produce the Cremant de Bourgogne can be made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc or Chardonnay supported by Gamay Noir, Aligote, Melon or Sacy. The Gamay must not exceed 20% of the blend.
