Cotes de Blaye is a wine appellation in Bordeaux, France. It is an appellation for white wine only with the permitted grape varieties being Colombard, Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc. Colombard is the principal variety and must comprise between 60% and 90% of the blend. Chenin Blanc is currently permitted also but this is gradually being phased out.
There is also a Premieres Cotes de Blaye appellation which permits both red and white wines to be produced.
