Mauzac is a grape that is thought to be native to the Limoux region of South West France. It is one of the principal grapes used for the production of the wonderful Blanquette de Limoux.
Mauzac is also common in the Gaillac appellation where some excellent white wines and sparkling wines are produced by domaines such as Robert Plageoles and Causse Marines.
