Chateau Yvonne is a small producer in the Loire Valley of France that is producing some very fine wines using biodynamic methods. It is the domaine of Yvonne and Jean-Francois Lameunière.
Their white wine is made using 100% Chenin Blanc, a grape that seems to thrive on the volcanic chalk in this region. The flavour and complexity is developed through aging in oak barrels.
They also make a fine Saumur-Champigny from Cabernet Franc grapes that we first came across at Yves Camdeborde's Le Comptoir restaurant in Paris.
