This is a pastis people either love or hate! It is a very dry style with enormous flavour which some find too dry and aggressive. If you develop a taste for pastis then you should try this one as it is just so distinctive being distilled using more spices than most others and also from the fact that it is unsweetened.
La Muse Verte means the green fairy in French and evokes thoughts of the days of Absinthe drinking. Even the banner on the label (Le Pastis d'Autrefois) continues this evocation.
It is served at Le Comptoir, Yves Camdebourde's lovely bistro in the 6th in Paris.
