The Clot de l'Oum Compagnie des Papillons Cotes du Roussillon Villages is a red wine made by rising stars Eric and Leia Monne. It is an assemblage of three grapes Carignan, Grenache and Syrah from relatively high altitude vineyards (400m to 500m) with vines that have acquired some age.
The vineyards are tended organically and this wine is named after the butterflies that started to appear once organic practices were put in place.
This is a lovely wine with an elegance that is reminiscent of the northern Rhone.
