The Domaine de Trevallon Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhone is a cult wine of considerable quality made by Eloi Durrbach near the village of Saint-Etienne-du-Gres in the Bouches du Rhone département.
Durrbach is a fastidious vigneron who believes in non-intervention and low, low yields. The results shine through and his equal mix of Cabernet and Syrah is a voluptuous wine of considerable complexity and length. It carries Vin de Pay on the label because the rules for the surrounding Les Baux de Provence appellation permit only a maximum of 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
