Lark is a delightful restaurant that is increasingly being sought out by food lovers for the thoughtful, beautifully-cooked fare that is turned out of the kitchen here. We also like the friendly, caring service and attention to detail that is the hallmark of this special place.
The menu is broken into the following sections: cheese, charcuterie, vegetables, grains, fish, and meats. The dishes are smaller than average to encourage you to graze widely across the menu with a table of two able to share about six or seven dishes quite comfortably.
We thoroughly enjoyed dishes such as the white asparagus salad studded with tiny pieces of anchovy and topped with a soft boiled duck egg, a perfect dish of roasted eel (Japanese unaju-style) served on a potato salad rather than rice, excellent emmer wheat pasta with an Oregon rabbit ragu and a delicious frozen Meyer lemon parfait.
The wine list is interesting with great wines like the Albert Mann Pinot Blanc available by the glass and a range of local and European wines that have been chosen to accompany the serious food, even down to dessert where the Disznoko Tokaji Aszu is available by the glass.
A must-visit restaurant for anyone interested in food!
