Chateau Simone from the tiny appellation of Palette near Aix-en-Provence is one of our favourite wines. It is powerful, delicate and just made for food. It is well worth seeking out.
We have been fortunate enough to find it in a number of restaurants including Reine Sammut's Le Passage in Aix en Provence and the Alain Ducasse resort Bastide de Moustiers in Moustiers Sainte Marie as well as La Derniere Goutte, the funky wine shop in the 6th in Paris.
