Chateau de Roquefort produce excellent wines using the biodynamic techniques espoused by proprietor Raimond de Villeneuve.
Chateau de Roquefort Cotes du Provence Rouge Les Mures is an elegant and complex wine that deserves a lot of attention as the winemaker is a rising star in Provence.
The vineyard sits on the edge of the Bandol appellation but Mourvedre is not as important here. The domaine produces a very good white using the Clairette grape and an interesting red that has been named Rubrum Obscurum and is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan.
However, the flagship wine is Les Mures and it is well-worth seeking out.
