Arto der Haroutunian is a revered figure in Middle Eastern gastronomy.
We could have chosen either the Middle East or the North African cookbook of Arto der Haroutunian to review here.
We came down on the side of the North African edition because we have already included a number of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern books and we wanted to include a book that espouses the virtues of the great cuisines of North Africa, as an understanding of them is an essential component of every food lover's armoury.
Inside you will find recipes from the cuisines of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya among others.
Arto der Haroutunian is a brilliant observer of the food of the Middle East and North Africa and this book is a great example of his ability to chronicle the important food of the North African region.
