This large open space (Hakka) is very inviting. The roof can be opened in good weather and closed when it is raining. There is a large seating capacity so there is no need to book.On a recent trip, the highlight of the evening was a dish of deep fried intestines with 100 year old eggs. Beautifully crunchy intestines provided the texture and the eggs provided the contrast. The beggars chicken is always available and is a very good dish to order if there are a few of you at the table.Sabah vegetables were a plate of greens similar to kang kong. Excellent.Crabs from Sri Lanka were steamed and served cracked. They were fresh, succulent and cooked perfectly. The belly pork was suitably fatty but beautifully cooked. We find that the large bottles of Tiger beer are the perfect accompaniment to both the humidity and the food.
