La Dernière Goute is a wonderful wine store tucked away in a little street off the rue de Baci. We were delighted to see some of our favourite Provencal wines including Chateau de Pibarnon and Clos Ste Magdeleine Cassis. There are also a number of Cotes du Rhone, Californian wines and even the wonderful Torbreck range from Australia. We were delighted to see Audry cognacs and a very special artisanal Pastis on sale as well. The proprietare is very knowledgeable and will discuss in great detail your requirements.It has now become a must-visit place on our annual visits to Paris.On our most recent visit we noticed a bottle of Chateau Simone 2000 from the Palette appellation in Provence. We had really enjoyed this wine of previous visits to southern France and were delighted to once again try this venerable wine that is so hard to obtain outside France.On another occasion we were recommended a Domaine Hauvette Les Baux de Provence 1999 which we also thoroughly enjoyed.Métro: Mabillon or St-Germain-des-Prés
