Brawn is a wine-focussed restaurant in London. The wine list is loaded with an interesting selection of natural wines including some smaller producers that have not received much exposure. We also very much enjoyed the food here on our recent visit.
It is owned by Ed Wilson, a chef whose work we have admired for some time. He cooks French-influenced food with a light touch.
The wine list is loaded with good, natural choices such as the Moussamoussettes from Rene and Agnes Mosse and Piege a Filles from Les Capriades which are both delicious pet nats, the Selves which is a Chenin Blanc from the remote Aveyron region, the powerful and elegant Leon Barral white from the Languedoc, the oxidative Les Marnes from Jura superstar Philippe Bornard and the lovely Paski from Italian producers Cantina Giardino.
