Lease 170 oysters are some of the best and most consistent Pacific Oysters produced in Tasmania. We first found them at Rockpool in Sydney and have never seen them on offer in Tasmania. The oysters are named after the lease in Breaknock Bay which is a short distance from Dunalley on the road to Primrose Sands.
Perhaps one of the reasons why we like these oysters so much is that they are the product of being raised in both shallow and deep, cold water. Owner Tom Gray achieves a remarkable consistency with the shape and the size of his oysters.
All of this would be for nothing if they did not taste delicious - but they do!
