Sorell Fruit Farm is a highly successful enterprise located just off the road the Port Arthur just past Sorell. You can go here to pick your own fruit or you can buy freshly picked fruit. There is also a pleasant café at the entrance to the orchard with large Oregon pine beams where they serve good coffee and house made ice cream among other temptations (we particularly like the pickled cherries).
The safest thing to do if you want to know what is in season is to ring and check in advance but generally, raspberries are available from November, loganberries, boysenberries and tayberries in December and January, silvanberries, blackcurrants, and cherries in January, apricots in December and again in February and March, nectarines and peaches in February and March and apples from February until the end of the season.
Picnic facilities are also available here.
They are closed on Mondays from March through to May.
