Tricycle Café and Bar is a delightful venue housed in one of the striking sandstone warehouses that line Salamanca Place in Hobart. The food is excellent and the coffee some of the best in town. Service is also relaxed, yet professional, with Megan Quill and Adam James overseeing their jewel with a careful eye.We go here for breakfast and order the chilli beans served on sourdough toast or the delightful, fresh-tasting breakfast 'trifle' in a glass which sees grains, stewed fruits and yoghurt mixed together in a tall glass. The scrambled eggs are also good.For morning and afternoon tea there is also an interesting selection of cakes and biscuits including decorated cupcakes that add to the experience.While you are waiting for your coffee to arrive you can admire the array of interesting tricycles hanging from the ceiling or the display of photos on the walls depicting tricycle events.This is a must-visit venue!
