Beaujolais Superieur is a wine appellation in the Beaujolais region of France. The Superieur is attached to Beaujolais wines with a slightly higher alcohol content than that of the basic Beaujolais wines. Therefore wines carrying the Beaujolais Superieur label are generally better than basic Beaujolais but below those that carry the Beaujolais Villages and Beaujolais Grand Cru labels.
