If you can't find something to choose in this large, rambling store in Darlinghurst then you are either very fussy or you don't like good food!Just about every brand of good food is jammed in among the fruit, vegetables, herbs, boxes of fresh chestnuts (in season) and piles of different varieties of potatoes. Would you like sausages for dinner tonight? Perhaps a steak? Or some smoked fish from Mohr's? Or some Pastabilities pasta? So much choice.You might also choose some baba ganouj from among the bowls of dips or maybe you need some field mushrooms? Or you could dash in to grab a loaf of sourdough or some ciabatta.Local residents must have been delighted when Provedore Pelagio opened. It now means that there is a food outlet with great produce within walking distance for the increasing number of Darlinghurst residents and for tourists who prefer to cook for themselves.
